   I liked the March Courant article p.1 about the federal deficit. However, a convention of states is a VERY BAD idea. It misses the basic question everyone must ask themselves…do you TRUST your legislator to do the right thing? My answer is absolutely not. Across our nation, some of our legislators, judicial system and law enforcement have already demonstrated their aversion to and abuse of the existing Constitution. The existing Constitution is perfectly fine the way it is. All that needs be done at this time is for the people to ensure the legislators uphold/enforce/abide by it…including our judicial and law enforcement. If you believe in the existing Constitution…do you trust your legislators? Answer that question first, then decide if you support a convention. I know I don’t.

   If you live in Lansing, your city council is considering plans to house illegal immigrants shipped in by the fed govt. Bamn, a govt sponsored & paid for group is reportedly going to be there in support of it…they are the group that assaulted a peaceful anti-illegal-immigration rally last month screaming obscenities, trespassing, destroying property and giving ralliers the finger and spitting in their faces. If you don’t support them and you don’t support illegals being sent into Lansing, the council is meeting tonight, 8/4/14.
